The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas — Linus Pauling

This week has been a slight relief to be able to finally work on ideas and solutions instead of keeping ourself in the fog for as long as we have. We have repeatedly scolded ourselves for jumping ahead and thinking solutions, so it is nice to be let free.

Something about breaking through the boundaries and working with larger than life event planning has opened us up to not just reaching a norming stage but to set foot within performing.

Through a week of idea generation and workshops, we have found a team dynamic that is working. Maybe it was just time, or perhaps it was the work we put in finally paying off, but things finally feel like they are starting to gel.

An amusing little moment this week:

An assignment earlier this week was misread, so we thought we had to come up with a metaphor or analogy to describe our team. This was of course not what we were supposed to do, but it did not take us long to come up with one we nearly unanimously agreed upon.

As a team, we are like spreading cold butter on soft bread. Technically we have the desired outcome: bread and butter. However, we may not have taken the prettiest route to the solution. We are that stage now where we can openly make fun of ourselves and have a grand old laugh.

Our heads are now spinning from the copious amount of ideas we have produced this week. We are more than looking forward to developing them into concepts to then test.
